HOWZAT FOR A CHEQUE FROM WEST OF SCOTLAND CRICKET CLUB?

St Margaret of Scotland Hospice

We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the members and supporters of West of Scotland Cricket Club who recently held a fantastic fundraising match in memory of their lifelong member, former Director, and former player Cammy.
Cammy spent his last two months with us here at St Margaret of Scotland Hospice, and we are touched by the club’s decision to celebrate his life with a special Memorial Day and match. It is a testament to the impact Cammy had on the cricket community and the lives of those around him.
The afternoon was a resounding success, with the sun shining down on a memorable match between “West of Scotland Cricket Club IV” in Partick and a “Forty Club” of “experienced” former players from across the West of Scotland.
The wonderful turnout and the generosity of those who attended truly reflect the kind of person Cammy was – one of the true characters of cricket in the West of Scotland, beloved by many.
Thanks to the incredible support, the day raised an amazing £1,821.15, with an additional £540 sent directly to the Hospice. We are truly grateful for this outpouring of love and support in Cammy’s memory.
Once again, our heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in organising and supporting this special event. Your generosity and dedication to honouring Cammy’s life will make a real difference in the lives of our patients and their families.
Did you know? The West of Scotland Cricket Club’s Hamilton Crescent ground is famous for being the venue of the first-ever international football match between Scotland and England on 30 November 1872?
