Well done to Lewis who has completed his Bronze Duke of Edinburgh award with us today. Lewis we have loved having you volunteer with us. Hopefully we see you back at Levengrove running.

Event Number 210 – 30th August 2025
Every week when Jim Hunter chalks the Event Number on the Start and Finish lines we speculate whether we will ever again have an attendance in excess of the number. As the weeks go by that clearly becomes more and more unlikely. But today we came pretty damn close. Finish Token giver-outer extraordinaire Joyce McEwan (deservedly featured elsewhere on her 199th Volunteer stint was kept very busy as the final tally fell just short of the Event Number at 206.
That figure included 16 undertaking their first-ever parkrun – all given a well deserved mention in our accompanying graphic. A good many of them were the latest graduates from Dumbarton Road Warriors’ latest Couch to 5K programme. Well done and haste ye back to all our newbies.
On top of these we had a further 25 paying their first visit to Levengrove, hailing from the likes of Cambridge, Cleethorpes, Luton, Yorkshire, Stirling and Westport, Co. Mayo, plus someone else from Ireland who was less specific.
