Detectives are investigating following the discovery of “possible human remains” in Loch Lomond.
Officers said the alarm was raised close to Rubha Dubh, at Firkin Point, at about 12:40 on Saturday.
The remains were removed from the scene for analysis.
Officers, a police van and a forensics vehicle remained at the scene on Monday.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Extensive inquiries are ongoing.”
