Dumbarton Football Club

The late, great Jock Stein once said “You can’t kid the fans.”
So, was this a good match, are Sons doing well?
Here’s what the boys in the black and gold scarves thought:
Al Blair said: “We definitely should have had a penalty but then can’t complain they scored a belter of a own goal. “Also loved the fact that Mario came over and had a chat with me and my grandsons at half time.”
Don Stewart said: “A good comeback again, could/should have won with the good chances we had, excellent point nonetheless against a team a league above us.”
Allan Clarke: “Played some really good stuff and should have won in end . They got two very soft pens and we were denied a stone waller . Sad to hear some of young supporters not behaving. We need the atmosphere they create when they do as they should but agree that any trouble should be nipped in the bud.”
Sam McCafferty: “Played well created the chances good comeback should have won but the point will do, well done Sons.”
Taking his tally to five goals and five assists in just nine starts, forward Scott Honeyman was Sons Supporters Trust member Robert Ryan’s choice as the No Limits Brewing Player of the Match in this six-goal thriller with Kelty Hearts.
