Teacher questioned over Loch Lomond death as inquiry intensifies …

A TEACHER is helping police with their inquiries into the death of Loch Lomond human remains victim Graham Wright, the Scottish Sun has revealed.

The man’s  terraced home in Stonehouse, Lanarkshire, has been the focus of police activity for the past week.

Now it has emerged the householder has links to a 36-year-old man who was staying at a property in Rutherglen  where officers have questioned neighbours over Graham’s death and also the case of missing busker Lewis Cuthbert, 25.

It’s understood the teacher – employed at a secondary school –  is being treated as a potential witness.

The fresh details emerged as locals in Stonehouse told of their shock at seeing officers at the property which was shuttered up on Friday.

A source told the Sun: “The police were at the teacher’s home for about three days last week and now there are steel frames covering the windows and doors.

Everyone around the neighbourhood is on high alert but nobody seems to know exactly what’s happening.

“It seems he was close to someone the police are taking an interest in.”

We can reveal the same house was vandalised in recent weeks amid claims the man whose home was searched in Rutherglen was responsible.

The Scottish Sun has uncovered court papers that show the 36-year-old was the subject of a court order banning him from approaching the teacher’s home.

He had been granted bail at Hamilton Sheriff Court in April this year and warned to stay away from his partner or ex-partner.

However this month he pleaded guilty to breaching the terms of the order between September 8 and 15 this year.

He was granted bail and will be sentenced next month.

Another local said last night: “Police were previously called out after the windows and doors of the house in question were smashed in.

“The man  who lives there has been getting regular visits from a guy who apparently lives in Rutherglen.

“They had some kind of fall out which resulted in the guy throwing bricks at the windows.

“You can also see what looks like paint thrown on the rough cast and a light attached to the roof has been torn off. It’s a real worry and I’ve been making sure my doors are locked.”

The Sun told yesterday how police probing Graham’s death are hunting the victim’s neighbour. Sources claim the male torched a van then fled before police could talk to him.

It is believed he stayed in the same block in Glasgow’sGorbals as Rangers fan Graham, 38, whose remains were found on September 13 near Tarbet, Argyll.

In a strange twist, cops have searched the  flat of the 36ear-old in nearby Rutherglen after quizzing residents there about Graham as well as missing busker Lewis Cuthbert, 25, of Strathaven, Lanarkshire.

Lewis hasn’t been seen since the start of August and there are grave fears for his safety.

Police Scotland have  confirmed properties were being searched but did not comment further.

It’s not known if officers are directly linking Graham’s death to Lewis’s disappearance.
