SNP WOMEN VISIT TULLOCHAN TO ADMIRE THEIR WORK …

Councillor Lauren Oxley – Clydebank Waterfront Ward is with Councillor Sophie Traynor – Clydebank Central at Tullochan

It was lovely to visit Tullochan in Dumbarton and hear about the brilliant work they’re doing with children and young people across West Dunbartonshire.
The team are doing so much to help young people build confidence, learn new skills, and get ready for work or further education. Through their Training Academy, they offer everything from interview and CV support to hands-on work experience and the chance to gain qualifications – all in a really supportive environment.
We also got to see behind the scenes at their Common Good Cafe, where young people can gain valuable hospitality experience as part of their training.
It was great to hear about their new focus on online safety which they are delivering in some of our schools, as well as their work with primary-aged children to build resilience, wellbeing, creativity, and STEM skills, and supporting those who might find school a bit more challenging.
Thank you to Cheryl for taking the time to show us around, and to everyone at Tullochan for all you do to support our children and young people to thrive
