There are limits to Reform’s support, writes columnist Gerry Hassan

Maybe the Reform bandwagon & hype led by Farage & amplified by the much of the media can be checked. There are limits to Reform’s support. They have now failed to win two by-elections in Wales & Scotland: Caerphilly & Hamilton, Larkhall and Stonehouse they were fancied to win. Proof again by-elections matter.
‘British By-Elections 1769-2025’ just published by Biteback & edited by Iain Dale is the first ever guide to UK by-elections which had a lasting impact. Was honoured to have two chapters: on Margo winning Glasgow Govan in 1973 & Jim Sillars winning Govan in 1988. Two fascinating contests which changed the face of Scottish politics.
