Police are appealing for information following two break-ins at Vale of Leven cemetery in Alexandria.
The incidents happened at Vale of Leven cemetery on Overton Road, between 5pm on Friday, 26 September and 1pm on Saturday 27 September, 2025 and again between 3.30pm on Monday, 3 November, and 7.25am on Tuesday, 4 November, 2025.
Access was gained and a number of tools and equipment were taken.
Inquiries are ongoing and officers are treating the incidents as linked.
Detective Constable Calum Hall said: “Our inquiries are ongoing and I am appealing to anyone with any information which could assist to contact us.
“Some of the items taken are large and those responsible may have used a vehicle.
“I would ask anyone who saw anything suspicious around these times or who may have dash cam or private CCTV which could assist to get in touch.”

Meanwhile, the police are appealing for information following a housebreaking in Dumbarton on Tuesday, 4 November 2025.
Around 8.30pm, thieves broke into a construction site on Hawthornhill Road, Castlehill, and stole electric power tools with an estimated value of £2500.
Detective Constable Darren Boag, West Dunbartonshire CID, said: “From our investigation so far, we know that two men forced entry to the Persimmon Homes construction site and stole the tools that were stored within a house under construction on site.
“One of the suspect left carrying a shoulder strap backpack with the tools within.
“The thieves are both described as slim, wearing dark clothing, jogging bottoms and trainers. One was wearing a hooded jumper, and the other a hooded waterproof jacket.”
DC Boag added: “The site is on a main road, is near shops and backs onto residential housing, so we’d appeal to anyone who was in the area between 8pm and 9pm, who has dashcam or doorbell footage, or indeed who saw anything suspicious to contact police via 101 quoting reference number 1415 of Wednesday, 5 November 2025.
