Scotland GAA is with Gaelic Games Council of Britain
“If both our countries can survive coming together with two different sticks on a pitch in Inverness (where no one was entirely surely of the rules being applied) and come to a culmination reasonably amicably and safely — then the future of our collaboration is bright
“
This description of the Shinty/Hurling International held last month from the First Minister John Swinney encapsulates the connection between Scotland and Ireland — a bond illustrated and solidified on that day in Inverness with the Camanachd Association.
Our chairperson Jennifer Treacy had the pleasure of attending the delightfully festive St. Andrews Day celebration at the Guinness Gravity Bar in Dublin and a very special launch of the Scotland/Ireland Bilateral Cooperation Framework 2030 by the Scottish and Irish Governments the next day.
Meeting with friends and meet new connections all working toward the same collaborative goals.
The GAA is a sporting bridge between our two countries and we are delighted to play a role in championing sport, culture, and community for all.
