The Post Office has issued an urgent warning to people planning to send Christmas parcels, urging them to get organised ahead of what’s expected to be the busiest day at its branches on December 8.

More people are planning to send gifts this festive season compared to last year – with numbers jumping from 20% to 33%, according to a Post Office survey.

The research revealed that 34% of Britons view sending Christmas parcels and cards as a crucial festive tradition. Despite this, only 33% intend to post their gifts and cards by early to mid-December, while 8% confess to leaving everything until the final week before Christmas.
