TOWER: Outstanding issues relating to the purchase have been resolved.

Helensburgh campaigners working to secure a central arts venue for Helensburgh’s future say the purchase will be concluded.

They were given a deadline of March 31 this year to complete the community buyout, but last month the process was paused because the company that owns the Sinclair Street venue, Visit Helensburgh Ltd, was struck off.

A Companies House notice stated that Visit Helensburgh Ltd was dissolved on January 20.

It meant that legally, it was not allowed to sell the building to campaigners, and an extension from the Scottish Land Fund had been requested.

But in a positive update shared with members and the public on social media, the group confirmed all outstanding issues relating to the purchase have been resolved.
