Easter bank holiday walk up Ben Ledi with Helensburgh and West Dunbartonshire Ramblers

Helensburgh and West Dunbartonshire Ramblers

In a change from our weekend walks, the HWDR enjoyed an Easter Bank Holiday walk up Ben Ledi (B+), and we weren’t the only ones! The hill was very busy, but luckily, we had started at Bochastle, which meant a longer circuit but more available parking.
A fresh fall of snow was deep in parts, but not very icy and manageable without crampons. Low visibility at the summit, but warm in the sun lower down. The descent via Stank Glen was, as usual, wet and boggy as expected. A great walk!
Next weekend we are off to Glendevon to hike the Glen Sherup Horseshoe.
This is a B-grade walk – Demanding higher standards of fitness and stamina than C +.
