MONTHS OF ROADWORKS IN HELENSBURGH
A major £2.6 million gas network upgrade has begun in Helensburgh, bringing months of roadworks to the town.
Gas company SGN will replace aging metal mains with modern plastic pipes, which boast a lifespan of approximately 80 years.
The project will be delivered in three phases over the next year:
Initial Work will focus on Cairndhu Avenue, Sutherland Street, West Montrose Street, James Street, Colquhoun Street, and Stafford Street.
Traffic Management: Temporary traffic lights will be used to manage disruption. Some areas will operate under a ‘give and take’ system without the need for temporary lights.
