REFORM “NOT ON THE SIDE OF WORKING PEOPLE” SAYS O’KANE

by Bill Heaney

UK Reform leader Malcolm Offord today criticised increases to the minimum wage and improvements to workers’ rights across the UK.

Scottish Labour candidate Paul O’Kane, left, the party’s education spokesperson in the last Scottish government, said:  “Lord Offord has let the mask slip and confirmed that Reform wants to attack the pay and conditions of working people in Scotland.

“Reform voted against game-changing plans to tackle insecurity and low pay, and now Malcolm Offord is complaining about working people getting fair pay for a fair day’s work.

“It’s no surprise this former Tory Minister is rehashing Tory talking points on workers’ rights.

“It’s clearer than ever that Lord Offord 9pictured top of page) and Reform are not on the side of working people – they are just a Tory tribute act.

“Only Scottish Labour can get rid of this failing SNP government and make life more affordable for working people in Scotland.”
