LOUISE AND MARTYN COMPLETE LONDON MARATHON FOR ST MARGARET’S HOSPICE

St Margaret of Scotland Hospice

We are incredibly proud to shine a spotlight on Martyn McGinlay and Louise McGinlay, two amazing supporters who recently completed unforgettable marathon challenges in loving memory of their mums, Catherine and Julie, both of whom were cared for by St Margaret of Scotland Hospice.
Despite sharing the same surname, Martyn and Louise are not related, but they are united by their determination to honour their mums and support our Hospice.
Martyn conquered the iconic London Marathon, crossing the finish line with determination and strength despite the gruelling heat. Meanwhile, Louise took on the Blackpool Marathon, propelled by a gentle sea breeze and the knowledge that her mum would be proud of her for “giving something back.”
These challenges were not only physical feats, but also emotional tributes filled with love, meaning, and purpose. Martyn and Louise’s unwavering commitment to honouring their mums’ memories while supporting the Hospice is truly inspirational.
We cannot express enough gratitude to Martyn and Louise for celebrating their mums in such a special way and helping us continue providing compassionate care to others. Your achievements are a testament to the power of love and the enduring impact of the care provided by our Hospice.
If Martyn and Louise’s stories have inspired you to take on a running challenge of your own, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at fundraising@smh.org.uk. We would be thrilled to offer you all the help and support you need to make your fundraising journey a success!
Once again, thank you, Martyn and Louise, for your incredible dedication to our Hospice. Sister Rita
