The Blairvadach Outdoor Education Centre in Shandon continues to see thriving attendance levels and high levels of engagement. The facility has rebounded strongly from past closure threats, with high demand for its residential courses and urban adventure programmes.
2026 sessions feature high-adrenaline favourites like zip-lining, caving, obstacle courses, bushcraft, and paddle sports. Participants can also tackle the demanding Duke of Edinburgh Gold Adventure, empowering students, youth organisations, and adults to embrace new challenges, develop practical skills, and unlock their full potential.
On Saturday, June 27th, the centre hosts a family day for serving Royal Navy, Royal Marines, and Royal Fleet Auxiliary Families.
Located on the shores of the Gare Loch, the outdoor centre serves as a cornerstone of the local community, providing jobs for instructors, catering, and support staff.
