HELENSBURGH RNLI EMERGENCY RESPONSE
The Helensburgh Lifeboat completed four callouts in a single week, responding to a beached rib, an engine failure, a false alarm, and a drifting tender.
All operations were successfully resolved, with volunteers assisting the Coast Guard and local boaters without any reported injuries.
Saturday 13 June (5.25 pm): Launched to search for anyone in the water after a rib ran aground between Rosneath and Helensburgh. The rib was recovered by others, and the crew stood down shortly after.
Sunday 14 June (11.22 am): Intercepted a drifting yacht near Rhu Marina with two people aboard after an engine failure. The crew towed the yacht to safety, securing it by 11.30 am.
Friday 19 June (11.57 pm): Responded to an unlocated DSC distress alarm from a yacht. Conducted an extensive search of the Firth of Clyde before standing down and returning to the station.
Sunday 21 June (10.30 pm): Investigated a drifting, empty tender near Ardmore Point. The empty boat was towed to the Helensburgh Sailing Club slipway and handed over to shore teams. Rhu Bay
