Officers are appealing for information following a wilful fire in Brucehill, Dumbarton.
Around 1.25 am on Tuesday, 4 August, 2026, we received a report of a Mazda CX-30 on fire on Glencairn Road.
The fire was extinguished by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, and there were no reports of any injuries.
Constable Emma Gibb said: “Thankfully no-one was injured as a result of this reckless act. Our inquiries are ongoing, and I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident and hasn’t already spoken to police to get in touch.
“I would also ask anyone who was in the area and who may have dash cam or private CCTV footage which could assist to contact us.”
