This is an old school picture from OHR Clydebank that dropped into The Dumbarton Democrat in-box. I recognise only two people – Teacher Jim Ward of happy memory is on the extreme left in the back row and Head Teacher James Queenan, who became the Labour provost of the Clydeside town.
The above view, taken above Whitecrook, of John Brown`s which has plenty of cranes but appears devoid of ships. The green fields of the south bank contrast sharply with the industry on the north side of the river. Picture by Brian Moyes
