And a good chunk of the project has had to be chopped due to the works going hugely over budget. Seems that the section of the roadworks that was to be constructed to support the West of Clyde World Maritime Centre of Excellence, or a factory unit site to most ordinary folks, have had to be chopped such is the dire overspend.
Good old WDC — double the budget and half the job. And just wait till the Gruggie’s Burn flood attenuation scheme gets started, A wee bird is saying that sections of the A82 will have to be closed with the first closure scheduled for October. All the fun of the fair, one hopes that the Milton Relief Road will be complete by then or if not then the Council will just have to delay some of the Flood Relief works.
But hey, the library in Dumbarton, which was supposed to open last Autumn 2025 is still not open a year later. And the Artisan Way upgrade is still a demolition site.
Maybe the Council could advise and let residents know what’s going on. It’s absolutely wild.
