It was great to open the Kilmaronock Community Trust Solar Project.Community-owned renewables reduce electricity costs and return profits going back to local projects and, in time, to bill payers. What’s not to like? Local communities are best placed to assess their own needs, and so devolving power and resources to empower communities to help themselves is the right thing to do.
