Opportunistic thieves are operating in the Dumbarton area, looking for an easy target. Don’t make it simple for them—a high number of home and vehicle break-ins happen simply because a door or window was left unlocked.
Protect your home and your wheels with these quick checks before you head to bed or leave the house:
Around the Home:• Lock up every time—even if you are just in the back garden or upstairs.
• Lift, lock, and remove: On uPVC doors, lift the handle, turn the key, and hide it out of sight.
• Keep keys away from windows, doors, and letterboxes.
For Your Vehicle:• : Always make sure your car is locked before walking away.
• Remove bags, electronics, and loose change from view.
