Ninety-year-old driver dies in crash
Police Scotland are appealing for information following a fatal road crash which occurred on the A83 south of Muasdale, near Campbeltown, yesterday.
Around 3.10pm, police became aware of a silver Skoda lying in a field at the south end of the village.
Emergency services attended and the 90-year-old male driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. From inquiries carried out so far, it is believed that the vehicle may have been in the field for a number of hours.
Sergeant Kevin Craig, of Argyll and West Dunbartonshire Road Policing, said: “I am appealing for anyone who may have seen the silver Skoda Karoq travelling south on the A83, or leaving the road into the field, to please get in touch.
“Anyone with information can contact Argyll and West Dunbartonshire Road Policing via 101, quoting incident number 2164 of Tuesday 27 November 2018.”
