Woman, aged 99, dies in car crash on Loch Lomondside

An elderly woman has died following a road traffic collision on the scenic A82 road near Luss yesterday.
She was a passenger in a car driven by a 73-year-old woman. travelling south towards Arden and the Helensburgh cut-off roundabout.
Their black Vauxhall Astra was in collision with a black Mercedes Vito mini bus that was travelling north just south of the Luss cut-off into the village.
The 73-year-old driver of the Astra was taken by ambulance to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley.
She is currently being treated for her injuries and hospital staff describe her condition as stable. Her 99-year-old female passenger sadly died at the scene.
Police have confirmed that a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
The driver and five passengers within the mini bus sustained minor injuries and did not require to go to hospital.
Sergeant Kevin Craig at the Road Policing Department in Dumbarton is appealing for witnesses to the crash.
