Appeal following food factory fire in Clydebank

Police in Clydebank are appealing for information following a serious fire at a business premises in the town. The incident happened around 5.45pm on Wednesday, 23 October, in Hamilton Street. The fire destroyed the Rumbol animal food products factory unit and enquiries are underway to establish what happened. Detective Sergeant Gordon Murray, of Clydebank CID, said: “We are eager to speak to anyone who may have seen something just before the fire broke out between 5.30 pm and 5.45pm. Officers are currently working with the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service to establish the cause of the fire which is currently being treated as unexplained. Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 3107 of 23 October.”
