Veterans’ charity Erskine has received a hat trick of excellent results from the Care Inspectorate over the past two weeks. The most recent detailed audit, this time of the Erskine Park Home in Bishopton, confirmed that the charity delivers an excellent standard of care and support to those in its care.
Everyone is exhausted. An elated Sinn Féin, having even surprised itself with a stellar performance at the ballot box, is still flying on the fumes of success. The smiling Greens and SocDems are also operating on adrenalin. Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael are still traumatised.
BBC Scotland is reporting that investigations into the fire that destroyed the Glasgow School of Art’s Mackintosh building have been hit by further delays, it has been announced.
The CLASSIC film season continues at the Concord a 7,30pm on Friday 21st February with RIVER OF NO RETURN (1954) starring Robert Mitchum and Marilyn Monroe. Guests admitted for £3 when seats available.
The second talk of 2020 takes place at the Concord Centre at 7.30pm on Wednesday 19th February. The speaker is Stuart Noble and his subject is TRACING YOUR SCOTTISH FAMILY TREE. Non members are admitted for£2 and tea and coffee are available from 7pm.
