New patient and visitor pathways being introduced at local hospitals
The local Health Board have asked The Democrat to let readers know that in coming days and weeks, across their main Clyde sector sites, there will be changes which are being put in place “to maximise safety for all of our staff, patients, visitors and anyone else who accesses our hospitals.”
These main sites include:
- Royal Alexandra Hospital (RAH)
- Vale of Leven Hospital
- Inverclyde Royal Hospital (IRH)
Upon arrival at the hospital a member of staff may ask drivers a few simple questions regarding their current state of health. This is being done to ensure they are directed appropriately and safely to your destination.
Signage and parking
We are putting in place new clear signage to direct drivers appropriately around the hospital sites. Some additional parking measures will be in place and the occupants of cars will be directed to the correct area .
“These measures are being implemented to keep everybody safe during this period and we would like to thank you for your ongoing cooperation at this difficult time,” a Health Board spokesperson said.
