Detectives in West Dunbartonshire are appealing for witnesses after two teenagers were assaulted on Friday nightt (11 September 2020).
The 15 and 16-year-old-boys were on a footpath around 9.30pm, near to Dumbarton East train station on Glasgow Road, Dumbarton, when they were attacked by a group of people.
One was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital to be treated for a serious head injury.
The suspects are described as males, wearing dark hoodies or jackets, one was wearing a navy blue Lacoste tracksuit, and all had masks on.
Detective Constable Susanne Church from Clydebank CID said: “We are appealing for the public’s help in tracing those responsible for this attack.
“A woman stepped in to help the boys and stopped the assault.
“We ask her, and anyone else who saw what happened, to contact us via 101 quoting incident 3869 of 11 September 2020.”
