POLICE: Fatal road crash – A82 near Duntocher

Officers are appealing for information following a fatal road traffic collision on the A82 on Monday, 23 November, 2020.

Around 5:05pm, police received a report a man had been struck by a car on the A82 westbound at Duntocher.  Emergency services attended, however, the 34-year-old male pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.  The male driver of the car was uninjured.

The road remains closed as crash scene investigators carry out inquiries at the location.

A 40-year-old man has been arrested in connection with road traffic offences and enquiries are ongoing.

Sergeant Paul MacPherson said:  “An investigation is under way to establish the circumstances of this incident and I am appealing for anyone who was in the area around the time it occurred to contact us.  In particular, if you have a dash cam, please check your footage as it could hold images which could assist us in our investigation.”
