No matter how far your fashion goes back, someone somewhere might just love it. And even be prepared to pay good money for it. And even help to save the planet.
350,000 tonnes of wearable clothing goes into landfill in the UK every year, and textiles can take over 200 years to decompose. Fashion production makes up 10% of humanity’s carbon emissions, dries up water sources, and pollutes rivers and streams. This all has a devastating environmental impact…
…but, by buying second hand, swapping and renting clothing are great ways to reduce the environmental impact of clothing.
So, on Friday Oct 1st head to Dumbarton Football Club to bag yourself a pre-loved bargain! You can buy, swap and sell at Pinkie’s event!
Stalls are available for £10 and shopper tickets are just £2. You will receive a free tote bag to take home all your pre-loved bargains in, and there will also be baked goods, music and drinks so you can have a proper girls night out!
