Not the High Street, but a stone’s throw away, and still a local business that needs the support from the local community to keep trading!
Today was absolute pants.
We had five sales today – we spent more money turning the lights on than we actually made in sales.
We are trying to adapt and keep up with changing shopping habits by expanding our opening hours, buying in new food ideas and expanded our list of makers. We appreciate and are grateful for our regular customers and do a happy dance when we see people coming in for the first time and learning about what we do.
We rely on Christmas sales to see us through the lean months of January and February when everyone is skint and watching the pennies.
But the past few weeks have been dire. And compared to this time last year our sales are beyond tragic
If you would like to see us survive into 2022 we would love to see your wee faces in the shop, buying from local makers and supporting a local social business.
Thank you for listening and see you soon.
