Community Budgets: Council’s method of allocating small grants to community groups

Community Budgeting is a method of allocating small grants to community groups and organisations. Groups can apply directly and the decision on which groups receive funding is made by local people through a voting process.

Community Budgeting 6 has £190,000 available for allocation to groups across West Dunbartonshire. This phase of Community Budgeting will be directed towards improving opportunities for young people in West Dunbartonshire. All groups are invited to make applications for funding of up to £5000 to support activities taking place in local communities however the main focus of these activities must benefit young people.
