Dumbarton FC confirmed today that, subject to SLFL approval, that they have reached an agreement with Broomhill to groundshare their stadium for the next five seasons.
The Lowland League side spent last season at Broadwood Stadium in Cumbernauld.
In the following club statement, Broomhill confirmed that they are now looking forward to their time at The Rock:
“We are delighted to be moving into the Dumbarton Football Stadium for season 2023/24.
“Signing a five-year lease with our friends at Dumbarton FC allows us to put down roots and finally have a home that we can invest in and grow our fan base.
“While our long-term goal for the club was always to find a home in Glasgow, we have accepted that this is not going to be possible, despite numerous attempts in the last few years.
“Being nearby and playing at such a picturesque stadium, within a short commute for our supporters, is an ideal solution and we look forward to many years of success at The Rock.”
A Sons’ spokesperson said: “This means that Rangers Football Club will no longer be using our facilities. We have thanked them, and we now move forward with Broomhill.
“Over the next season and going forward we will provide further details of developments between the two clubs.”
