POLICE: YOU CAN SEE THE DRUGS DETECTION DOGS AT DUNOON THIS WEEKEND

Police Scotland Argyll & West Dunbartonshire

The warmer weather looks like it’s here for a while, so enjoy the sun 🌞 but remember not to leave your dog in the car as they can overheat extremely quickly in this heat.

May be an image of dog, car and text that says "Dogs die in hot cars. Don't risk it. 03000 999 999 scottishspca.org Scottish SCOTTISHSPCA Scotland's Animal Welfare Charity"

Emergency Services Day – Saturday 17th June – Dunoon πŸš”πŸš’πŸš‘

Join us on Saturday 17th June between 11am and 4pm at Dunoon Grammar School where you can meet the Emergency Services who keep the residents and visitors of Cowal safe!

Meet your local police officers, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, Ministry of Defence Police Marine Unit, Police Scotland Mounted Branch, Drugs Detection dogs, HM Coastguard – Argyll and the Isles, Mountain Rescue and others.

There will be something for all the family to enjoy with free entry!

Meanwhile, pictured below, Area Commander Ryan McMurdo on patrol in Balloch with the local Community officers to ensure that our communities remain a safe and inviting place for all to enjoy. Our partnership approach is key to reducing ASB and its impact on our localΒ communities. Please report ASB via 101.

Given the continuing heat over the next few days, The #NationalMotorcycleUnit will be conducting increased patrols across Scotland on both marked and unmarked bikes.
Remember, motorcyclists will always be more vulnerable on the roads than car drivers and there are more motorcyclist casualties on Saturdays and Sundays than any other day.
The picture below shows a motor cycle and sidecar hearse passing up Cardross Road on its way to the crematorium.
Make sure the next booking is not for you. Undertake now not to overtake when it could be dangerous.
Everyone has a part to play in #KeepingPeopleSafe, so please drive/ride safe!
