NEWSFLASH: Levengrove: Couch to 5K is back!

The waiting list for the next block of Levengrove: Couch to 5K is now open!

Whether you’ve never run before, or you’ve just got out the habit, Coach to 5K is proven to work.

By committing to the 9-week programme, by the end of the block you will be able to run continuously for 30 minutes.

Week 1 begins with just 60 seconds of running at a time, and gradually builds up over the 9-weeks.

The twice-weekly coached sessions take place in Dumbarton on a Monday and Wednesday at 6.30pm from 15th January 2024 (finishing mid-May).

Each coached session will be led by our UK Athletics qualified run leaders, and will be supported by experienced runners and people who’ve been through the programme with us before.

In addition to the 2 coached sessions we ask you to commit to one other session per week, either in your own time or at Levengrove parkrun with us on a Saturday morning.

We believe in the power of running to make you feel great mentally and physically. We don’t think money should be a barrier to taking part, so we don’t charge for this programme.

We are, however, limiting numbers to keep the coach-to-runner ratio right – it helps keep you safe and provides a better experience overall.

Priority will be given to those who can commit to attending all coached sessions as a minimum. That’ll give you 18 hours of coached sessions where you get to meet and run with others, plus anything else you do on top. We think that’s a small investment of time that will pay long term benefits.

We’ll let you know by 30th December if you’ve secured a place.

If we are over-subscribed and can’t accommodate everyone who has registered interest in the January block, we’ll give you priority for the next time we offer the programme.
