LABOUR PROVOST FLIES THE FLAG FOR LESBIAN, GAY, BISEXUAL AND TRANS PEOPLE

Provost Douglas McAllister led elected members and local residents in a flag-raising ceremony in Clydebank to mark LGBT+ History Month.

Provost McAllister, who is Labour’s prospective parliamentary candidate in the West Dunbartonshire constituency,  said: “Each year during the month of February we recognise and reaffirm our commitment to equality and human rights. We want to make West Dunbartonshire a place where everyone feels included and safe to live and work.
“We celebrate our area as a place where people can live the life they choose without fear of discrimination.

“And we recognise the struggles of millions of lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans people around the world who continue to face struggles every day.”
