BURGH’S VERY OWN YELLOW BRICK ROAD WILL BE ALL WHITE ON THE NIGHT

West Dunbartonshire Council

There’s nothing that a lick of paint won’t fix. Unless it’s in Dumbarton, of course.
Station Road is still recovering – will it ever? – from the introduction of those eyesore Atlas boulders, which are supposed to be part of the “levelling up” plan for the Town Centre.
But it won’t end there unfortunately.
The bad news – and there’s plenty of it pours out from Church Street – is that roadworks will be undertaken from the 15th of April on Station Road resulting in a road closure on Station Road (again) from its junction with Church Street to its junction with Meadowbank Street (distance of 230 meters [sic]) for white lining painting works.
May be an image of road and text that says "ROAD CLOSED"Works are expected to last approximately five days, and the closure will take place from 0700 to 1800 hours – 7am until 6pm.
Access for emergency vehicles to properties and pedestrian through traffic will be maintained, although delays are to be expected.
There is no truth in the story that a statue of the Dulux dog is to be erected next to Peter Denny in the nearby gardens of the Municipal Buildings.
Apologies for any inconvenience caused, says a council spokesperson.
