Pupils and staff at Christie Park Primary School in Alexandria joined to bid Kathleen Burns a fond farewell and good health on her retirement.
Kathleen dedicated more than two decades to the school and was a much-loved and well-respected member of staff. Her enthusiasm for science and technology was legendary and many children participated in her after school ‘Young Engineers’ and ‘K’Nex’ clubs.
Throughout the pandemic, children and their families thoroughly enjoyed Mrs Burns’ creative online science lessons and there was always a great deal of fun and laughter!
While she will be sorely missed at Christie Park, Kathleen is looking forward to travelling more often with family and friends and enjoying her Jive dancing classes.
Everyone wished Kathleen a very long, happy and healthy retirement.
