| Professor Angela Wallace, Executive Director of Nursing and Midwifery said: “We are grateful to all the nurses, midwives, and healthcare support workers, who bring immense value to our service every day. We would like to express our deepest appreciation to them for their extraordinary care and for taking the time over the past two years to share their stories. Their experiences have been invaluable in shaping the future of nursing and midwifery at NHSGGC.
“Throughout our conversations, one message stood out: our nurses and midwives are unwavering in their dedication to providing the best care possible. However, they need support to navigate the current challenges and continue their exceptional work.
“We are excited to bring the four strategic priorities outlined in our strategy to life, ensuring that our vision becomes a reality.
“As we launch this strategy, we are grateful to the board for their support. This year’s International Day of the Nurse and Midwife focuses on wellbeing and care in a crisis. Our strategy not only reflects these themes but also promises to shape a different and exciting future.” |
