  1. Time folks looked to see who is behind Gordon Gibb and his Flamingoland.

Somebody is behind this developer Somebody has his back.

The situation is in many ways similar to the Lomondgate development. In the Lomondgate development land that was common good land and land not belonging to the council was sold by the council to the Strathleven Development Company for £1.00.

The land was then developed in a complicated scheme where Walker Developments, like Flamingoland facilitated businesses like Agrekko, Brewers Fayre, Premier Inns, Euro Garage and a number of private house builders the opportunity to buy the land, sold for a pound, to build on.

And so by way of an example house builders bought land and built over 200 plus houses which they sold. Assuming an average price of £230,000 per house that’s a £50 million development.

But then there’s Aggreko, Brewers Fayre – Premier Inn, Euro Garages, Costa Coffee – and all that development built on common good land sold for a reported £1.00.

So, how do folks not know about this sale of the century. Can someone explain what has been going on?

    How does all this work?

I would certainly like to be able to buy land for a pound and then sell it on. So again, how does all this work?

And is this what’s happening at Flamingoland? Are they getting all this lochside land for a pound. Outrageously, we don’t know because the disposal of this public land is commercial in confidence, not for disclosure, a secret.

Now there’s a surprise! Maybe someone can explain?
