I was delighted and honored to be speaking at @beirasplace conference, where I was given the opportunity to inform those present about my Prevention of Domestic Abuse (Scotland) Bill. The main theme of the conference was how social media promotes and fuels violence against women and girls and the stories and evidence presented were shocking. It was great to hear from different speakers, all experts in their fields, who gave insightful presentations focused on the harrowing effects of pornography, non-fatal strangulation and coercive behaviour, particularly on children and young people.
