Things are hotting up here at Loch Lomond Shores this summer. Yes, we got one, which hopefully hasn’t disappeared over the Carman Hill and faraway just yet! It’s going to be perfect picnic weather this weekend again, we hope, and with our beaches and woodland meadow being perfect spots, we’d like to remind visitors to please be responsible in disposing of BBQs and litter.
BBQs should be completely cool if disposed of in our many bins around the site. Even the smallest ember can result in a significant fire and a very melted bin.
Whilst our staff will be constantly emptying bins throughout the weekend, there may be instances where your nearest bin is full. Please do NOT leave litter beside the bin as seagulls will rummage and disperse.
The promontory area is managed by @lomondtrossachs and, following their policy of ‘Bag it and take it home’, there are no bins available. Please be aware of this and take your litter home or dispose within one of our bins on site.
Lastly, if you’re bringing your four-legged family members, DO NOT LEAVE IN YOUR CAR FOR ANY LENGTH OF TIME, as with the forecast heat, they could suffer very quickly, or even worse, die.
While we all love the good weather, it’s crucial to take precautions to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable time while visiting us.
Let’s all have a fantastic, but safe, weekend this weekend enjoying the beautiful weather!
