HEALTH COUNCIL DOESN’T KNOW CHALLENGES FACING PATIENTS IN THE VALE OF LEVEN

West Dunbartonshire Council

West Dunbartonshire Health and Social Care Partnership are seeking views on access to services within Alexandria to understand the challenges local people face; how they feel when accessing services,  and if there are barriers that they
experience.  Visit the survey here https://bit.ly/A-Pilot

I know my style is considered abrasive at times, but can I ask: What are our councillors elected for? My belief has always been that it’s because they are supposed to know what’s going on in their ward.
That’s about bus services, street sweeping, bin collections, education and social work. Their salaries – it used to be volunteers did this – range from £25,000 a year to £50,000 plus expenses.
Forgive me for saying so, shouldn’t they know already what challenges the people who voted them in to represent them face when accessing health services in their area without us having to squander public money on a useless exercise to find out what they should already know for HCHP officials, who are being paid up to £100,000 a year? Just asking. I know we’re banned from asking, but we are sure that the people who pay this hard earned money even during a cost of living crisis would like to know.
