Lomond Radio
We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Tom Swan, the much-loved sweetie man in Renton.
For generations of locals, Tom was far more than just the man who sold sweets. He was a constant, reassuring presence in the village – always there with a warm smile, a friendly word, and time for everyone who stopped by. So many childhood memories in Renton include a visit to Tom, carefully choosing sweets and enjoying a wee chat that often meant just as much as the treats themselves.
Tom’s kindness, gentle nature and familiar face made him a true part of the fabric of the community. His passing will be felt by people of all ages, and his absence will leave a real gap in village life.
Everyone at Lomond Radio would like to send our sincere condolences to Tom’s family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Our thoughts are with you at this sad time.
Rest in peace, Tom. You will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by Renton and beyond.
