Four people ended up in hospital on Sunday after a fight broke out in broad-daylight in Bonhill.
The incident happened on at an address in the Braehead housing estate around 2.10pm on Sunday, January 11.
Police, who were called to the scene, say four men and a woman arrived in the street in a car which they got out of and and came into contact with four men who were already in the house.
Police say the “concerning” incident is being treated as targeted and are appealing for anyone with information to get in touch.
Detective Sergeant Neil Allison said: “From our investigations so far, we believe this to have been a targeted attack. However, the fact it took place on a Sunday afternoon in a residential area is concerning.
“Officers have been carrying out local inquiries and checking CCTV footage, but we are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen what happened or has any information that may assist our investigation.
“If you have any private CCTV or doorbell footage or were driving in the area and saw a car driving at speed away from Braehead around 2.20pm, then please get in touch.”
