POLLS SUGGEST TWO PARTY LEADERS MIGHT LOSE COME MAY 7

A poll predicts the First Minister may be about to lose two of his most trusted Scottish Government Ministers – and his potential successor – according to a new poll.

And that he will miss out on winning his majority, which he has predicted he will achieve, but there will still be a pro-independence majority.

There have been two new polls published on Thursday, but one is by Find Out Now, which has faced accusations of overstating the nationalist vote. It was commissioned by a pro-independence blogger and put the Scottish Greens on 23 MSPs, a highly unlikely result, and the SNP on 59.
The Scottish Greens would finish on 11, three up from its current total, but would still finish in fifth place. North East list MSP Maggie Chapman would be returned, and the far-left party would win its first ever constituency in Edinburgh Central with Lorna Slater beating Constitution, Culture and External Affairs Secretary Angus Robertson.

Reform would win two constituencies, according to the polling, in Banff and Buchan and Aberdeen Deeside and North Kincardine, which is where Stephen Flynn is pinning his hopes on winning. The SNP would win no list seats anywhere, which would mean Mr Flynn not achieving his wish to move to Holyrood.

The Scottish Tories would keep all five of its constituency seats, but a win for Jackson Carlaw in Eastwood would result in party leader Russell Findlay not being re-elected on the West of Scotland list. The Scottish Lib Dems were predicted to win just five of their 10 target seats, finishing sixth.
