The generosity, kindness, and solidarity the people of Argyll, Bute & South Lochaber have shown towards the beleaguered population of Gaza since the start of the genocide has been absolutely remarkable.
In the village of Strachur, and despite the pouring rain, hundreds of local people turned out to support a Humanitarian Fundraiser for the charity Medical Aid for Palestinians.
A huge thank you to the organisers, the performers, local artists who donated their work for auction, the home-bakers, the businesses, and to the hundreds of people who gave up their Sunday afternoon to raise much-needed funds for those in need in Gaza.
Once again, the people of this constituency have shown that they are miles ahead of the UK government in demanding an end to UK complicity in this genocide and in seeking justice and accountability for the Palestinians.
