And here we are a few years later ditching the electorate who voted him into a Scottish Parliament seat ditching it to take up an unelected seat in the House of Lords and a ministerial position in the Westminster government.
Not the actions of anyone with a modicum of decency the guy is a carpet bagger pure and simple. But his father and MP did similar when he relinquished his British citizenship to take up a position of the Governor of the Punjab in Pakistan.
Like father like son neither are examples of any commitment to democracy. Carpet bagging troughers are words that sadly come to mind. And well done prime minister Burnham for setting the tone.
