Five further arrests as investigation into Glasgow disorder continues

Five further people have been arrested and charged this week in connection with disorder in Glasgow on Saturday, 25 July, 2026.

The men, aged 41, 39, 27, 23 and 22, were charged in connection with a range of offences including assault and possession of offensive weapons.

They will all be reported to the Procurator Fiscal and are expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on later dates.

A total of 22 people have now been arrested in connection with a number of offences linked to the disorder.

Extensive inquiries remain ongoing, and anyone with information can call 101, quoting Operation Cornstarch, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

A Major Incident Public Portal (MIPP) has been set up to encourage members of the public to submit information directly to officers.
