Charlie Byrne’s Bookshop
We are very happy to applaud the publication today of ‘John McGahern: A Writing Life’ by Frank Shovlin. We’re delighted for our old friend Frank and proud of his great achievement in telling the largely private story of the most important Irish novelist since Beckett. This magisterial book reclaims McGahern as an artist of the very highest calibre. We are also delighted to be officially launching the book in Charlie Byrne’s on the 30th October at 6 pm.
